We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Management Officer based within a great team. As a Treasury Management Officer you will be support to the treasury management and non-treasury investment services in all aspects of financial administration.
Responsibilities:
Treasury Management and Investments
- To provide support to the treasury management/banking function including the ability to provide cover to maintain continuity and resilience as required by the service
- Act as point of contact for counterparties.
- Maintain the investment, lending and market data lists. Reporting data and performance internally and to counterparties as required.
- Month End processes
- Work with external advisors.
- Contribute to project work and service/process improvements.
- Input to Strategy and Reporting papers
- Assist as required in the full range of tasks undertaken within the team.
- Maintenance of documented procedure and practice notes.
- Supporting the non-treasury investment process including organisation, due diligence and report writing using a documented procedure.
- Day to day management of treasury and non-treasury loans, administration of payments and repayments, interest calculations and invoicing as required.
Experience needed:
- LGPS experience preferred
- Accounting
- Debits
- Credits
- Accounting knowledge
- Preferred to have knowledge of working in public Sector or Local Authorities previously
- Reconciliation from start to finish
- Credits
- Credit notes
- System updates
- Accounts receivable
- Ability to identify errors on reconciliations etc
- Treasury Management
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification OR at least 3 years’ experience in a finance environment
Monday to Friday- 9:00am until 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
Contract- 6 months (maybe longer but not guaranteed)
