A hugely rewarding opportunity for a Support Worker who has experience working with clients with Autism or Aspergers and complex social needs to join a Local Charity Organisation based in Bath.

 

- Salary of £24,500 per annum (an extra £100 per week when on-call)

- Contract: This is a full-time, permanent role

- Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5 (working 1 in 4 weeks on-call)

- Location: Bath

The Support Worker role:

- To assess and support clients to develop independent living skills that will enable them to move from low-level support to independent living.

- Facilitate access to services that meet client health, social, educational, and employment requirements, taking account of client aspirations and needs.

- Ensure clients are accessing and managing the benefits that they are entitled to.

Key duties include:

- Build positive and effective working relationships and agreements with relevant external agencies.

- Support Clients to engage in consultation events both within the organisation and in the wider community.

- Ensure that organisational administrative systems, including Petty Cash and rent/service charge collection are accurately maintained and updated.

- Work in accordance with the organisation’s Equal Opportunities Policy and with all its other policies.

The Successful Supported Housing Worker Applicant:

- Experience working with young adults with complex needs / Autism or Aspergers

- Ability to undertake assessment and planning for people with complex social needs.

- Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with empathy and understanding of the needs of clients with complex needs.
