A great opportunity has arisen for a Skills Coach/Mentor to work on a hybrid basis for a training provider in the Leeds/Sheffield area. As a Skills Coach/Mentor, you will have the incredible opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and support them in their personal and professional development journeys. We are working with a fantastic training provider that received a grade of ‘good’ on their last Ofsted visit. They are delivering Accountancy apprenticeship programmes up to level 7 and are looking to expand their team due to a period of growth.
The package available for the position of Skills Coach/Mentor:
- Annual salary of £25,000 plus bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Skills Coach/Mentor:
- Provide personalised coaching and mentoring sessions to a caseload of learners.
- Manage own diary efficiently to ensure KPIs are met.
- Monitor and track learner progress, providing constructive feedback and making necessary adjustments to coaching approaches.
- Collaborate closely with learners to ensure full engagement throughout the programme.
- Build compliant portfolios and support learners through to End Point Assessment and ensuring e-portfolio system is up to date at all times.
- Working closely with colleagues and internal teams.
- Build rapport, trust, and lasting relationships with clients.
Skills and experience required for the position of Skills Coach/Mentor:
- Previous experience training and supporting colleagues.
- Ideally hold a Teaching qualification or recognised Assessors award.
- Experience of working with learners on apprenticeship standards would be an advantage.
- An understanding of compliance and Ofsted requirements would be an advantage.
- Strong administration skills and IT literate.
