Sheridan Maine are pleased to be partnering with a leading organisation based in the heart of Basingstoke, who are actively recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant position.
The role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts, budgeting and balance sheet reviews.
Key duties of the role include:
- Liaise with auditors and assist with queries
- Review all monthly accounting transactions such as journals, accrual & prepayments
- Distribute the monthly management accounts pack to senior management
- Review balance sheet and investigate anomalies
- Produce P&L reports and provide commentary & analysis
- Undertake detailed financial analysis
- Assist the FC with budgeting and forecasting
- Provide cashflow reports
- Assist the team with day to day support and guidance
- Provide business partnering support to stakeholders
The role would suit an individual who is qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA/ ACA or alternatively has 5 + years relevant accounting experience in management accounts. It is essential to have strong communication skills and be able to mentor and direct others within the team when required. A strong level of excel skills is essential and a keen eye for detail. The company are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual who is able to work in a busy, fast paced environment.
The role will be working within a friendly, welcoming team that continues to grow as the business expands across the UK. Hybrid working is offered and there is free car parking available onsite. The company are also close to public transport links.
