Are you detail-oriented, organised, and proactive individual? Do you have experience in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient processing of invoices and payments? Are you looking for an ongoing temporary role as a Purchase Ledger Clerk?

Job Type: Ongoing Temporary role – immediate start

Location: Long Marston

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (with an hour lunch)

Salary: £13.20 per hour – with weekly pay

 

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk working under the Accounts Payable Team, your main responsibilities will include:

- Accurate processing and electronic scanning of invoices against site purchase orders

- Accurate processing of high-volume scrap and haulage supplier invoices, and providing supplier reconciliation where required

- Process multiple currency invoices

- Review debit balances

- General office administration responsibilities such as respond to internal and external emails and telephone queries promptly, professionally, and accurately

- Support for setup of supplier accounts with associated compliance checks when required

- Bank reconciliations and cash handling, with support for daily and weekly payment runs

- Assisting with HMRC, Internal and External audit requests, and additionally ensuring all company SOPs are being adhered to

- Produce accurate and timely reports in line with company policy, that adhere to strict monthly deadlines

The ideal candidate will:

- Hold strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

- Have full UK driving license and access to your own car 

- Previous experience of volume purchase ledger invoice processing

- Previous experience processing payment runs

- Exceptional organisational skills

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with outstanding problem-solving skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills whilst upholding a confident and polite telephone manner

- Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable

- Respect to current GDPR guidelines through excellent integrity and confidentiality

- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, combined with the ability to work well under pressure
