Manufacturing Engineer required for our global client based in Derby, this is a permanent opportunity to join a thriving business.
The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for responding to any queries from manufacturing suppliers, or engineering queries that may arise from the operational teams.
Responsibilities:
- Initial point of contact for any manufacturing queries.
- Work with suppliers (UK and overseas) to provide technical tooling solutions.
- Creation, review and amendment of manufacturing and inspection documentation.
- Writing of modification and repair specifications to allow pricing and manufacturing of tools.
- Recording and maintaining information on ERP & other IT systems.
Key Skills
- Professional qualification HNC/Degree in an engineering experience in manufacturing environments in a technical role.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatics controls and systems.
- Understanding of CE/UKCA Directives and Marking
- Understanding of lifting equipment inspection requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driving licence and passport is essential.
- UK and worldwide as required.
38 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Flexible
Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 (dependant on experience and skills)
