Maintenance Planner

£37,000 - £43,000 per annum

Monday to Thursday, 06:40 - 15:00; Friday, 06:40 - 14:00

Primary Duties:

- Provide professional engineering and maintenance support utilising expertise, knowledge, and experience.

- Efficiently schedule, plan, and allocate resources for all maintenance activities.

- Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure efficient operation of departmental duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and advancement of the Maintenance Planning Department.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations such as equipment inspections.

- Align planned maintenance schedules with business requirements.

- Assist in planning shutdowns and projects.

- Collaborate with Area Engineers and Team Leaders/Managers to enhance maintenance procedures and reliability.

- Provide support to Area Engineers as needed.

- Review and adjust work orders to accurately reflect tasks.

- Develop and review procedural documents for work tasks.

- Ensure accuracy of documentation content.

- Coordinate personnel training within the department.

- Manage spares and refurbishment programs in coordination with Area Engineers and Team Leaders.

- Generate, maintain, and deliver KPIs as needed.

- Enhance the functionality of maintenance systems in collaboration with the Planning team.

Basic Requirements:

- Experience or keen interest in manufacturing/production environments.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction at all levels.

- Experience in planning and scheduling.

- Capability to manage small projects and chair meetings.

- Proficiency in delivering KPIs and handling contracted services.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Technical expertise in heavy engineering and fast-paced production settings.

- Ability to analyse and solve technically complex problems.

- Demonstrated ability to positively influence and lead teams, implementing change within engineering and maintenance.

- Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.

- Experience in team leadership roles.
