Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Lockerbie, Scotland
Salary: £32,000 per annum

As we continue to expand, we're seeking skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our clients' team in Lockerbie.
Position Overview: We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to safely and efficiently transport goods across various routes. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while upholding our company's high standards of professionalism and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maneuver HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner, adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the roadworthiness of vehicles and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and road safety procedures.
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
