Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety trainer to join our client in Plymouth, UK, initially on a temporary basis.
As the Health & Safety trainer, you will share in our clients hunger to embrace cutting edge technology with an aim to deliver a first-class virtual training experience to their customers and employees. You will be experienced in both live and virtual facilitation, delivering a broad range of topics across the health and safety training spectrum. You will embrace this exciting opportunity to help shape and develop their Training opportunities for the market.
Responsibilities
• Work with colleagues across all departments to drive the training agenda as a product and service within the business.
• Prepare and deliver our CITB SMSTS, SSSTS and Health and Safety Awareness training courses.
• Work with external bodies to develop accredited courses/schemes.
• Stay up to date with and identify market needs and trends.
• Assist the HR Manager in producing training needs analysis for internal employees.
• Build productive relationships with customers and employees.

Requirements and Skills
You must be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years occupational experience in a construction management role. This experience must demonstrate accountability for site health and safety or site management/supervision. As well as a training qualification or a CITB recognised exemption, you must also have successfully completed at least one of the following qualifications:
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Health and Safety degree.
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D.
• Diploma Safety Management Level 6. The following are desirable for the role
• Membership of Chartered Health and Safety professional (CMIOSH).
• Experience of delivering H&S training within the construction environment.
• A recognised teaching qualification (such as PTLLS).
You must also have
• Demonstrable experience of providing virtual training lessons.
• Experience of using online Training tools.
• Experience of working on your own initiative and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Up to date knowledge and experience of office software i.e Word, excel, outlook etc
Working hours 37.5 per week, Mon to Fri between 09:00 & 17:00
