I am working with a Construction company who require a Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. They are offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, 23 days holiday plus bank, company pension contributions, free parking, football tickets for Anfield, full autonomy in your role and many more great benefits.
In the role of Buyer, your main duties will be:
- Evaluate, source and negotiate with potential suppliers on price, quality and delivery speed of goods
- Negotiate terms of contracts and ensure suppliers offer beneficial pricing and conditions
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure correct stock levels are taken
- Ensure logistics partners are delivered in a timely manner
- Use internal CRM systems to track/manage supplier relationships
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, products and developments within the industry
- Resolve issues with suppliers
In order to be successful in the role of Buyer, you will hopefully have:
- Great negotiation skills
- Understanding and experience of using Sage, Oracle EBS, SAP etc
- Knowledge of logistics processes
- Supply chain management experience
- Analytical skills
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and accurate with your work
