Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Summary: We are currently seeking two ambitious and driven Business Development Managers to join our client's team and contribute to the expansion of their successful distribution company. Our award winning client has a fantastic reputation in their field.
The successful candidates will be responsible for increasing sales by leveraging the existing database of trade customers, including both existing account holders and new prospects.
The ideal candidates should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be self-motivated, and demonstrate exceptional sales skills within B2B, along with the ability to build strong rapport with customers.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and acquire new trade customers in the office products/office technology market.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing trade customers to maximize sales opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Call existing and new prospective customers from a maintained database
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and digital media, to develop and execute effective sales and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our product portfolio, including the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of each brand.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and demonstrations to trade customers, showcasing the value proposition and key differentiators.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, revenue objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the company.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the management team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the office products/office technology market/ other B2B markets.
- Strong understanding of the trade-only distribution model and experience in working with reseller customer base.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve targets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a drive to succeed and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Word, Excel and Presentation tools would be preferred.
A Basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum is on offer plus Bonus (performance bonus, quarterly bonus) Other benefits include social events, company pension, a very friendly culture, growth opportunities and flexibility to work fully remotely.
