When it comes to building up your reputation as a recruiter, it’s important you know how to market yourself online, as well as in person.
Businesses want to know that the person they recruit with has a good reputation, so by building a positive online presence, you can stand out amongst other recruiters with a great digital record of credibility and experience that businesses can see.
Blogging
If you work for a recruitment company, you can still build up your personal presence and reputation online as a recruiter. To do this, you can begin with setting up your own website, blog, or if you’re not that tech savvy, use LinkedIn to write articles about your industry. Blogging will help show your knowledge and will attract businesses and candidates alike to connect with you.
Reviews
If you have a Facebook business page or use Glassdoor or Indeed for reviews, ask your candidates and clients to give you reviews and recommendartions. That way, you will have your own track record of testimonials that you can show to clients to highlight recommendations from your work history.
Newsletters
Send out a personal newsletter to your candidates and clients at least once a month. The newsletter should include news about yourself to add a personal touch. Describe recent accomplishments you’ve had to allow your clients and candidates to feel more engaged.
Social Media
Social media is a great way to connect with potential candidates and clients. Social media business pages allow you to express yourself and share your experiences with others. You can also post jobs on Facebook to reach your candidates.
If you company allows you to, set up your own personal recruitment social accounts so that you can post jobs and grow your network over time. That way, if you ever decide to go freelance, you won’t have to start from the beginning with social media.
