My client, who are in the Education sector, are recruiting for a Sous Chef covering multiple sites.
Starting salary: from £25,000 depending on experience (with by-annual pay increases)
Location: Bath
Hours: 36.5 hours per week worked over 5 days (overtime earned back in time in Lieu)
Shifts: Day time shifts, 7am-3pm or 12pm-8pm (flexibility to work some evenings and weekends needed to suit the business needs)
Role due to start in January, interviews taking place on Thursday 30th November

The Sous Chef role:
- Take responsibility for and manage all aspects of the kitchen when the line manager is absent.
- Role will cover a food court as well as 2 cafés on site. Overseeing approx.. 7 team members per shift
- Ensure that procedures regarding financial control, Food Safety, HACCP, Health and Safety and staffing are carried out.
- Producing high quality food to menu specifications in a fast-paced, high turnover kitchen and for on-site functions & banquets as required.
- Ensure that the team adhere to the specific roles and responsibilities relevant to them that are included in the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Work with the Hospitality Management Team and undertake training to deliver projects that will develop food & beverage offering, management & customer service.
The successful Sous Chef applicant:
- Experience providing team members with operational training
- Kitchen management experience
- The ability to effectively lead and motivate team members
- Knowledge of relevant food safety, health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
