Hospitality Operations Manager
(Initially a 9 month contract)
£35,000 PR plus Excellent Benefits
An Exciting and Brand new opportunity for a Coffee/Hospitality Operations Manager to join this leading, creative and inspiring Property Investment company. Their main focus is to provide flexible work spaces in dynamic London locations.
You are joining this client at the right time, although this role is initially a 9 month contract, this position certainly has the opportunity to develop into a permanent role.
About the role.
" You will become involved in the operational Set-up of this companies first coffee bar and all Standard operating procedures (SOPs), rolling operations out to subsequent openings across our London locations.
Deal with day-to-day operational responsibility and team management of the companies host baristas and their coffee bars.
" Assist with the development of the blueprint and set of guidelines for third party café operators.
" Undertake regular reviews of all hospitality provisions across the portfolio to help inform the long-term operational planning.
" First point of contact for third party operators in managing the company's expectations (quality, consistency, sustainability initiatives etc).
" You will alongside the property management teams to ensure a smooth day to day service operation of the coffee bar at one of the clients leading sites, based within their main front of house space in this location. And other locations across the portfolio as they open and expand.
" First point of call for any escalations from customers relating to service and to bring about resolutions where possible
" Management of host Baristas and rotas, starting with two part-time staff at their leading Centre and growing the team as required over their London Locations
" Management of quality and consistency of products and services
" Management of training with third party supplier
" Ensuring daily 'cash up' completed by onsite team
" Providing emergency cover for sick staff in a timely manner to reduce disruption to services
" Oversight of Food and Beverage delivery at the clients various events
" Oversight of Food and Beverage and space management for customer events where they are the operating service provider
" Ensure that any Meeting Room Food and Beverage requests are catered for as requested where they are the operating food and beverage provider
" Develop Meeting Room catering menus for Centres where we are the operating food and beverage provider
Events (can range from workshops and seminars open to the public to small community building events such as breakfast and networking evenings.)
" You will also be responsible for the logistics and management of any events in the space alongside the larger Centre Management team, including attending evening events on occasion.
Space/ Facilities Management
" Coffee bar and Café Equipment set-up
" Assist with roll out across future opportunities
" Develop SOPs for operations
" Responsibility for Health & Safety compliance and implementation within coffee bars and cafes
" Equipment management and maintenance scheduling
" Ordering of stock
" Supplier liaison
Essential Requirements for this new exciting position
" Proven experience of running premium café or cofee shop operations from a start-up through phase of growth
" Proven customer care experience
" Experience of taking card payments, cashing up and reportingrevenue
" Proven exerience in customer care and ability to resolve customer complaints
" Knowlegde of Health & safety
" Ability to manage conflict resolve and motivate a team.
" Ability to engage and build relationships
" Poficient in all Microsoft office packages
