We are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious family ran Investment Letting Agents based in Royal Leamington Spa, seeking a skilled and dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with a strong background in bookkeeping and a passion for finance to join a small, friendly team. As a Bookkeeper within this firm, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial records of a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK accounting standards. Including the preparation of financial statements, VAT returns, and management accounts. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Location: Within Leamington town centre next to all shops and amenities.

Hours:  10 hours per week contract – Mondays and Wednesdays  - flexible around working hours arrangement.

The team: Friendly atmosphere, 3 staff in total - Office based only no hybrid work.

Salary: £12.50 per hour paid monthly - Immediate start.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintaining accurate financial records for a range of clients

- Maintaining and keeping the sales ledger and purchase ledger up to date

- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions

- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts

- Liaising with clients in person, over email and telephone

- Assist in the preparation of regular finance reports

- Maintain filing system for easy retrieval of documents

- Perform data entry and update records as needed

- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and forms

- implement xero software, input data and maintain accounting

- invoice, chase payments due

Essential

- Previous bookkeeping experience

- Familiarity with accountancy software such as Sage and Xero

- Strong organisational skills to ensure work is completed in a timely manner

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work both within a team and individually

- Hard working attitude

- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
